General Cable Atlanta Continues Support of the Emory Ronald McDonald House

Once again, the associates from General Cable’s office in Atlanta, Georgia, decided to make the Emory Ronald McDonald House the focus of their group charity effort. After talking to the local house manager, the team collected shampoo, tooth paste, deodorant and other toiletries as well as kitchen items like plastic utensils, aluminum foil and storage bags.

In March 2015, a group of employees delivered some of the supplies and, as a special treat they also donated boxes of Girl Scout cookies to the house to share with family members of seriously ill or injured children currently staying at the facility.

“The Emory Ronald McDonald House is a “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost,” said Alison Earle, Manager of Sales Operations for General Cable. “My co-workers in Atlanta were happy to do what we could to help them defray costs by donating items they need.”

These generous General Cable Atlanta associates also have their calendars marked so they can prepare and serve meals at the Emory Ronald McDonald House during two upcoming occasions.
